How to use the Pomodoro Technique

  1. Pick a task: Decide on the task you want to work on.
  2. Start the timer: Set the timer to 25 minutes (one "Pomodoro") and focus entirely on the task until the timer rings.
  3. Take a short break: When the timer rings, take a 5-minute break to stretch, grab a coffee, or step away from your screen.
  4. Repeat: Start another Pomodoro.
  5. Take a long break: After completing four Pomodoros, take a longer break (15-30 minutes) to recharge your brain.

Why it works

The Pomodoro technique trains your brain to focus for short periods and helps you stay on top of deadlines. With time, it can even help improve your attention span and concentration. Frequent breaks are crucial to keep your mind fresh and prevent burnout.
